A quick recap about the recent activities and news of Mawahib: The Talent Directory during April & May 2013:
The book has been added to the library of The Women’s Museum of the UAE. As the book features 35 young Emirati graphic designers, illustrators & photographers (29 of them are women).
book2Batches of books have been sent to selected organizations, companies, advertising agencies to achieve the goals of highlighting & hiring the featured talents. Some of the places are: Al Jalila Foundation,  Dubai Women’s College (HCT),  Meydan IMAX,  Beyond Studios, Dubai SME, HIPA,  The Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, Sheikha Salama Al Nahyan Foundation, TwoFour 54, Dubai Press Club, Zaman Branding, LammTara Art Production, Al Gurg Group, Sharjah Media Corporation, Fikra Design Studio, Kindai Dubai, Quint Dubai.
oasis-magLast month we participated at the Oasis magazine pop-up shop. With over 20 of favorite regional designers, Oasis presented a celebration of the modern heritage in the luxury department store Harvey Nichols in Riyadh! The event was a success & all copies of the book were sold out, view the photos from the event. Plus, Mawahib book got a quick review published in the Spring issue of Oasis Magazine (Arts & Culture magazine in English from Saudi Arabia). You can buy print or electronic version of the magazine from: OasisMag.MagCloud.com
S*uce Gifts is selling the book copies now, the new place is located at Al Wasl Square-Shop 43, Opposite Safa park, Jumeirah-UAE.
Emirates Diaries is a newly established magazine founded, written and photographed by young ambitious Emiraties. With the launch of their second issue which revolves around the UAE culture – The magazine features a double-page spread about Mawahib: The Talent Directory. You can grab a copy of the magazine from Bikers cafe (Jumeirah) or Switch restaurant (Dubai Mall) or Kuttab Cafe (Mirdif).
